Simon has been with Beca for over 13 years, guiding the consultancy's growth into one of Asia-Pacific's most respected and largest multi-disciplinary organisations.
With a niche focus on sales and marketing for professional services firms, Simon's background includes working in environmental planning and construction consultancies in the UK. He is experienced in business planning and strategy development, communication planning and execution, public relations, competitive bidding, account management, strategic selling, branding and presentations.
Attracted to Beca for its size, integrity, diversity and inspirational leadership, Simon joined the Group’s headquarters in Auckland in 1997. "The company was working on major, complex projects around the world," he says. "I saw an exciting opportunity to help Beca communicate its sound offering to both existing and new clients."
Since then, Simon has witnessed Beca emerge as a global niche player. "We are very nimble, collaborate well and can compete effectively against many much larger organisations."
Simon particularly enjoys leading business development initiatives, leadership coaching and getting involved in the whole sales process. He has coached many successful bid teams in all delivery scenarios.
