Since joining Beca in 2005, John has been directly involved in a number of airport infrastructure projects throughout Australasia. He is currently a Technical Director and Airport Segment Manager within the Beca Airports Market.
John has 28 years' experience in project management, design, planning and technical consultancy services in the air transport industry. John works principally in the areas of inspection, evaluation, planning, design, construction and maintenance of airport pavement and associated infrastructure works.
His significant amount of airport and airfield pavement experience and knowledge was gained from working on a range of airport projects from large international airports such as the new Hong Kong International Airport and night-time runway resurfacing works at Heathrow Airport to airfield maintenance inspection and planning advice at smaller regional airports.
John is passionate about providing highly appropriate solutions to his airport clients using both his skills and experience, combined with the skills of the wider Beca Airports team, aiming to achieve successful outcomes for all parties.
John is an Overseas Corresponding Member of Editorial Board Member of the UK Institution of Civil Engineers Transport Proceedings and IJPE and is a member of the UK Britpave Airfield Pavements Task Group.
